YOUR TASKS
- You contribute to the development of technical solutions for species protection at wind turbines, particularly for the automated detection of bat activity
- You are involved in a research project aimed at optimizing bat curtailment requirements and support collaboration with external project partners
- You conduct scientific research in the field of wind energy and bat protection
- You validate and assess technical species protection solutions based on scientifically defined criteria
- You perform data analyses using common programming languages such as R or Python, working with various data sources, including positional data, camera data, acoustic data, and SCADA data from wind turbines
- You also support the assessment of species protection requirements for wind energy projects in collaboration with our internal experts
YOUR PROFILE
- You have gained relevant experience during your studies in areas such as species protection, renewable energy, or data analytics
- You are enthusiastic about working with analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. Python, R or Matlab) and handling large datasets
- Ideally, you have initial experience with GIS applications
- You enjoy analytical thinking and have a strong interest in renewable energy
- You work independently and in a structured manner and are a team player
